1. Who we are
The Wellness Way (the "Site") at thewellnessway.online is operated by ZN Digital Ventures LLC, 525 Randall Ave, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001, United States ("we," "us," or "our"). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at contact@thewellnessway.online.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Newsletter sign-up. If you subscribe, we collect your email address so we can send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.
- Correspondence. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
- Log and device data. Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics tools may record your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, dates and times of visits, and similar technical information.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See section 3 below.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive information such as health conditions, financial details, or government identification numbers.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include pixels (small images or code snippets), local storage, and software development kits. We and our third-party partners may use these for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary: to remember your choice on our cookie notice and to keep the Site working. These are stored on your device only.
- Analytics: to understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are read and for how long, so we can improve it. Analytics providers may set their own cookies.
- Advertising and measurement: to measure the performance of advertising campaigns that bring visitors to the Site and, where applicable, to show relevant advertising on other platforms. This may include the Meta Pixel and comparable tools from other advertising platforms.
When you first visit, a notice lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Your choice is remembered on your device. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Our Cookie Policy provides more detail, including how to opt out of specific providers.
4. Advertising and third-party pixels
The Site may be promoted through advertising on third-party platforms, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To measure whether those campaigns work, we may use tracking pixels and conversion tools provided by those platforms. These tools may collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view and the actions you take on the Site, and associate it with your account on that platform if you have one. The platform processes that information under its own privacy policy; for Meta, see Meta's data policy and its ad preference settings.
The Site may also display advertising or clearly labeled sponsored content. Advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. We do not control these third parties. Our Advertising Disclosure explains how advertising is separated from our editorial work.
5. How we use information
We use the information described above to operate and improve the Site; to send the newsletter to people who have subscribed; to respond to your messages; to measure the reach and performance of our content and advertising; to protect the Site against abuse; and to comply with legal obligations. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent (for non-essential cookies and the newsletter), our legitimate interests (for operating, securing, and improving the Site), and compliance with legal obligations.
6. How we share information
Your personal information is never exchanged for money. We share information only with:
- Service providers that host the Site, deliver email, and provide analytics, who process information on our behalf.
- Advertising and measurement partners, as described in sections 3 and 4, which may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some U.S. state laws.
- Authorities when required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- A successor if the Site or our business is transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply.
7. Retention
We keep newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward. Analytics and log data are retained according to the settings of the providers we use, which we configure to the shortest period practical for the purpose.
8. Your rights in the EU, EEA, and UK
If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have the right to request access to your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@thewellnessway.online. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
9. Your rights in California and other U.S. states
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion; to request correction; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it); and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
The categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (such as email address and IP address), internet activity (such as pages viewed), and, through advertising pixels, inferences that the advertising platform may draw. We disclose these categories to the service providers and advertising partners described above. Because advertising measurement may count as "sharing," you may opt out by declining cookies in our notice, by adjusting your browser settings, or by emailing contact@thewellnessway.online with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and Oregon, may have similar rights and can exercise them by contacting us at the same address.
10. Children
The Site is written for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including serving the Site over HTTPS and limiting access to the data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
12. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be indicated on this page.
14. Contact
